EDITOR — Allow me to salute Zanu-PF and the two MDCs for the maturity they showed over amendments to AIPPA and Posa.

I saw in that time a new dawn for Zimbabwe, one where, we as a people, will concentrate on building the economy, and our country.

I saw us, during the run up to the election, hearing new manifestos, ones that touch on the core of our livelihood as Zimbabweans.

I anticipate we will not hear incessant complaints about Posa but how we can conduct ourselves at public meetings, ensure that property is not damaged, not repeal AIPPA but how journalists can exercise their freedom of expression and how readers can hold them to account.

It is time to focus on real issues. I say to all Zimbabweans onward to victory, forward to economic success, viva dignity. May the person and party best equipped to lead Zimbabwe win come March 2008.
