I understand your burden for Zimbabwe, but the situation in USA is too different to draw paralels with our case. 
1) The electorate in US is politically educated and free unlike our minds that on partisan grounds. 
2) The protection by the law and order forces is equal and compulsary to all players. 
3) Obama is being listened to by people who are informed economically, socially and politically. not those who are desperate like us. 
4) The problem in ZW is not the opposition in my opinion, but the electorate that lacks the basis for their decision.
